Huge Update Today

Our AWMNetwork Forums went live this morning…feel free to join the community…make suggestions and post away!

PhatServers and CyberWurx added to our Hosting & Domains Page.

BlogBugs added to our Blogging Page.

Added MeatCash (and their 40 some-odd sites) as a Sponsor.

Added the Bukkake, CreamPie, Facials, Gay, Group Sex, Handjobs, Hardcore, Interracial, Lesbian, Oral Sex, POV & Reality Niche pages to our Sponsor section.

Added an RSS column to all of our Sponsor pages so that the user can readily see which sponsor / site within any given niche provides an RSS feed for webmasters who are auto updating their blogs utilizing feeds. These tables will be updated over the course of the next day or 2.

Created a Tools page.

Blogging Page & Forums Added

Although it may not look like it we actually got a lot done today. I fleshed out some earlier research I had done on blogging and got a Blogging page up. The page includes sources for both Blog Hosts as well as Blog Pinging.

We also got our forums up but they are not 100% ready for public use yet. The way things are progressing we should have them all live and linked up by tomorrow.

Directories Page Updated

There probably won’t be a whole lot to update today; I think I have added the majority of the Non-Reciprocal Link Directories and Non-Redirect Social Sites that I can find (which in my opinion are far more beneficial to webmasters than Recip Directories and Redirect Social Sites). My main focus at this time is going to be on going through all the sponsor programs that are out there so that I can start beefing up that section of the site. In the future I will also be adding a page for tools adult webmasters should be utilizing.

As usual, if there are any additional updates I will certianly update this post.

Update - After doing quite a bit of research into some of the other sponsor programs out there I realized that I would need to break my Sponsor page down further or else the list would become way too cumbersome and the load time would impact the user experience. It is for that reason that I spent the better part of about 3 hours separating the page out by niche. Once you select your niche you will be presented with the actual sponsors and their sites.

Directories Page Updated

Not a whole lot to update today but I figured I’s throw it out there just to keep everyone updated and so that I have a record of everything I have done on this journey.

PornGW added to the Directories page.

Worked on getting the banners working in the header and the sidebar.

Ok…so maybe I didn’t do such a good job with the updates yesterday; real life has a funny habit of getting in the way sometimes! Hopefully I will do better today and actually make progress so that I can update this post.

Adult Webmaster Directories & Social Networking Sites updated.

Not too bad a day today…Ihave added 14 Social Networking Sites to the Social Sites (Web 2.0) page and 25 Directories have been added to the Directories page.  Andrei has also been hard at work coding the new layout into the site as well.  Everything seems to be going relatively smoothly so far.  Once the layout is done and the phpBB2 board is integrated I will begin making some posts on the boards to start trying to grab some webmaster traffic to the site.  I am sure that all the input they will be able to provide will prove to be invaluable in the long run.  I may add some more to the site before I call it quits but I need a break for now.  If there are any updates I will edit this post.

Slow Going

Unfortunately there isn’t a whole lot to update today; other sites, other projects and real life kept getting in the way.  ;) I did however get a chance to speak with my WP designer, Andrei Bogdan Boghiu,  about the site.  It looks like we will be incorporating a phpBB2 board within the site.  I also got a chance to see the .jpg of what the site layout will look like when it is done and I have to say…this guy is amazing!  So hopefully all the visual changes will be done in the next week or so.

As far as actual content updates to the site…I was only able to add Hustlers 16 sites to the “Affiliates” page so far.  I am hoping that I will have a chance later to add to that but it is not very likely as I am going to spend the next few hours adding another tattoo to my portfolio and it is already getting late here.

Progress

Well…I learned a lot about WordPress today. I also learned how big this project is going to be. I started figuring I was just going to create some tables and fill the with urls in alphabetical order etc and call it a day. The problem is that as I began creating my lists (especially the Affiliate one) and it started getting bigger I realized that it was working great…for anyone that wanted to search for sponsors alphabetically. What about people who wanted to see all revshares…or people who wanted to search by Niche? Those people were all SOL which meant I had to learn how to create tables in WordPress..woohoo.

Oh well…all in all it was research worthwhile and I even gained new respect for this beast that is WordPress…it seems there is very little it can’t handle with the help of a plugin or two. Today I got my About Us, Contact, Affiliates, Hosting & Domains, Social Sites (Web 2.0), & Directories pages started. I also posted a thread in the NetPond Forums about beginning this project…they are the best community and adult webmaster can stumble upon. I have not doubt that the people there will help me grow this project into the best resource a webmaster can have in their arsenal.
