The Wave of the Future
So you wake up one day and for whatever reason you decide you are going to become an Adult Webmaster. You have read the stories of those that have come before you and all the riches that have been reigned down upon them and figure you want a piece of that get rich quick lifestyle…the fame…the fortune…the girls…oh the girls!; plus you get FREE PORN! Not to turn you off from your dreams but this is no longer a get rich over night and rake the cash in faster than you can count it industry. It takes work…lots and lots of work. Most webmasters who start out will not make it a month before they quit. Of those that do most will not make it 6 months. And we have heard stories that somewhere in the neighborhood of 99% (depending on who’s spouting out the statistics) will fallout within the first year. Don’t be surprised if you don’t make a dime in the first 6 months.
Well, you have read the above and still feel thisis the path for you…the path to freedom…freedom to be your own boss and set your own hours. Well, where do you begin? Do you invest in a turnkey setup? I have heard that they are one of the worst investments you can make (though in all honesty I have no personal experience in this arena) which is why they are not included in our network here. Maybe you think you should start out full bore and invest in creating your own paysite (whether with purchased or produced content) or maybe you think you will just spam a few sponsor links across some forums and hope for the best. Most people will want to start somewhere in between these options and blogs are a great medium to do so.
This page will include two tables. The first table will include blog hosting options (most of which will be free) and the second table will include Blog Pinging options. You see once you get a blog up and running you still need to get it out to the rest of the net and pinging is one great way to do so especially when used in conjunction with a good linking campaign which makes use of Web 2.0 resources, Link Directories and link trades. Keep in mind that if you choose to use a free blog hosting company such as the ones listed below you will be at their mercy. Meaning that if their provider goes down, your site is down. If they decide to pack it in, your site (and revenues associated with it) will be a thing of the past as well. So choose wisely.
