The advent of what is now known as Web 2.0 by such mainstream sites as Digg.com, Reddit.com and Technorati.com has revolutionized the way that many webmasters promote their sites. If you can find the right combination of sites with a decent amount of traffic it is possible to kick start your web marketing program and website profitability in a very short time frame.

*Return Links from social networking sites generally fall into two categories a Redirected Link or a Non-Redirected Link. Non-Redirected Links are typically going to be higher value links because the SE’s see this as a direct link from the social site to your site (meaning you gain the PR benefit the social site passes on to you). Redirected Links may still be of value as long as there is a decent amount or live traffic going to the social site in question. If the social site is popular enough the traffic you will get from the site will be shoppers / buyers as opposed to just the SE’s.
